How we got here
From a beloved Artesia restaurant to Southern California's trusted caterer
In 1988, our family opened the doors of Ashoka The Great on Pioneer Boulevard with a simple belief: that great North Indian food, made with care and served with warmth, brings people together. Little India was just finding its name, and we grew up right alongside it.
Word traveled from our dining room to living rooms, banquet halls, and wedding mandaps. Families who celebrated their engagements with us came back for their weddings, then their children's first birthdays. Catering wasn't a business decision — it was the natural extension of who we are.
Today we cater everything from intimate 50-guest pujas to 2,000-guest weddings across LA and Orange County. The scale has grown, but the kitchen hasn't changed: it's still our family, still cooking everything with the same hands and the same heart.
